Modeling
Gap (2006)
In the fall of 2006 Kristen appeared in a series of advertisements for the clothing brand Gap entitled "T-Shirt Shop". The campaign which focuses on T-shirts, was described as a celebration its heritage in self-expression and individuality. "T-shirts have become the ultimate vehicle for self-expression,” said Kyle Andrew, vice president of Gap Marketing.
The campaign comprised of black and white print ads shot by acclaimed photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Each shot features a celebrity wearing their favorite Gap T in a way that expresses their individual style. To reinforce the message of individuality, the campaign is tagged with the message ‘long live individuality’ and each campaign image has a corresponding tagline – such as your expression, your spirit, your attitude – capturing the emotion of the shot.
The "T-Shirt Shop" print campaign ran in September issues of magazines including Vanity Fair, Elle, InStyle, Vogue and GQ and featured other celebrities like Aaron Eckhart, Pete Wentz, Paula Patton, Mia Farrow and more.
Singing & Songwriting
Although Kristen does not claim to be a singer, she did performed two songs from Into the Wild; "Angel from Montgomery" and "Tracy's Song". She helped write "Tracy's Song".
"It was one of the most creatively-freeing experiences. Music is one of the most emotionally expressive things you can do. If I'm not feelin' it, I can't sing. Those two nights [where she sings for a crowd in the film], something was going on. It’s not always you can give that much. But, yeah, it’s intimidating. I'm not a singer."

Commercials
Kristen appeared in a TV commercial for Porsche in 1999. She played a little girl who deliberately misses the School bus so her dad will give her a ride in his Porche car.
